You Bitter Betty You...

Happy Wednesday Lovebugs! This post was once again inspired by a few good ol fashioned social media posts! I was on FaceBook the other day scrolling down my timeline as usual and for some odd reason I kept seeing all of these depressing anti-men quotes. It was just like a never ending story so I felt compelled to talk about it.

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies, please STOP being a "Bitter Betty." Yes he hurt you! Yes, it's hard for you to trust! Yes, you look at relationships more cautiously but have you ever thought maybe that's a good thing. Maybe that's why God allowed for you to go through what you went through because he wanted you to gain strength and apply it to future relationships. STOP walking around talking about what men aren't and how you're going to keep your heart to yourself because you're tired of being hurt. Don't you realize keeping a closed heart will not get you anywhere? You must open your heart to love in order to receive it. We all have been brutally hurt by a man we loved and trusted but we can't allow for that to be a deciding factor in how we choose to love throughout our lives.

For the longest time, I, myself was the President of the "Bitter Betty" club and it wasn't until recently I decided I didn't want to hold that title anymore. I kindly resigned from my position and now I'm ready to love and give it all I have. It's an old saying but it's so true, "You are what you attract!" If you put negativity and bitterness in your heart and live that daily, you will attract it. Five years from now on FaceBook, you'll still be putting up quotes talking about how you want to be married, but you hate men and are scared to open your heart so you are ALONE!!

Choose today to forgive who hurt you and MOVE ON! Not for him, but for yourself because God can't bring you something new if you're still stuck on the old!  You can't keep allowing for your past to break you down and make you a "BITTER BETTY!" Love is waiting but you have to be open to receive it!

"Bitterness is the result of clinging to negative experiences. It serve you no good and closes the door to your future"
